The Next Big Thing

So, A.M. Griffin pulled me out of the revision cave and tagged me in a game called The Next Big Thing.

Here's an explanation from A.M. Griffin's blog:

Writing can be a solitary business, and I've found this game useful because I can follow each author's tags and trace the authors who have tagged them. It also gave me an opportunity to extend the opportunity to other authors.

The Next Big Thing is a game where authors spend a bit talking about their books, works-in-progress, likes and dislikes.

Who is an awesome author as well.
Here we go!

What is the working title of your book?
Warrior Unbound

Where  did the idea come from for the book?
I wanted to write a Hex Appeal, but the one I was currently working on was NOT working for me. So I thought of one of my favourite places, which is North Bay, Ontario. The story just kind of unfolded from there.

What genre does your book fall under?
Twilight, or rather paranormal erotic romance.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
I would love Adam Beach to play the Warrior. I love him, he's an awesome actor. I haven't really thought about who could play the heroine Hattie. Any cute, accident prone red head would work.

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
Crud. Really? I hate writing these things.

The balance of the world depends on an unsure medicine woman and a stone warrior who remembers nothing of his past.

I hate blurb and synopsis writing.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

This book came out with Ellora's Cave on October 10, 2012.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?

The first draft didn't take long, about a week actually. I really shot out the words.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
No idea. I haven't had time to read at all, I've been on so many deadlines.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
North Bay, Ontario. I love visiting it and I love Lake Nipissing. It's gorgeous.

What else about your book might pique the reader's interest?
The Warrior is incredibly hot. My critique partner adored him and there's, of course, lots of hot sex. :)

Now for those I tagged. Be sure to check out their The Next Big Thing Blog the week of November 19, 2012.
