Six Sentence Sunday

For my first Six Sentence Sunday I thought I'd take six sentences from my very first book, Masque of Desire from Ellora's Cave.

The set-up is Alek is leading Miranda upstairs for some "fun" and she sees another couple having "fun" and I think you know what I mean.

“Are you jealous of them?” her companion asked, shattering her reverie.
“What?” she asked hoarsely.
“I asked you, ma chere, if you were jealous.”
“No—I,” she faltered. She couldn’t think of a plausible excuse. He pushed her up against a paneled wall with his arms on either side of her face.

I think Kool and the Gang had it right, it's time to CELEBRATE. I just sold my first manuscript MASQUE OF DESIRE to Ellora's Cave for the upcoming Tricks and Treats.

In my excitement did a heel click (didn't know I could do one) and I think I pulled a muscle in my leg or something, but no pain no gain right? I feel no pain right now. My first sale, feels so good, crud, now I have work to do.

Masque of Desire

I bounce back quick for a ... well not a bad defeat as they want me to submit again.

I finished my last edits on MASQUE OF DESIRE tonight and I tweaked my query and synopsis (thanks again to Christine my guru) and I sent it off to EC.

So, we'll see what happens.

I was very unsure, I can tell you that. Especially in light of yesterday, but I sucked it in. MASQUE is off.

I'm tired so I won't be participating in Thursday Thirteen this week. Leave me your link in the comments though and I'll try to visit as many of you as I can. I'll be back next week, I promise.
