Happy almost Canada Day! WOOT! Well, technically it's July 1st, but today is the start of the Rabid Reads Canada Day Blog Hop. Awww yeah. I love being Canadian and heck, we produce some of the funniest people in the world up here like John Candy, Jim Carrey, Mike Meyers, Dan Akroyd ...to name a few. Now, whenever I get the chance I write books set in Canada. My first set in Canada book was Mounted Release with Ellora's Cave special Oh, Canada! call for submissions.
My next Canadian set book is my debut release from Harlequin Medical Romance. Safe in His Hands is set in Nunavut. I'm also a rarity in Medical Romance, not many Canadian authors there. ;)
As part of the blog hop I'm giving one entrant an ebook copy of their choice out of the following books:

Timbits are the unofficial national sugar rush snack food for toddler tourists in the back of minivans travelling the 401.
ROFLMAO! That they are kaisquared.
Hmmm... they make great poutine?
Mmmm. Poutine. You've made me hungry, May. I do love poutine.
Thanks so much for participating! :) Happy (almost) Canada Day! :)
How about... The border between Canada & USA is officially known as the International Boundary. At 5,525 miles, including 1,538 miles between Canada & Alaska, it is the world's longest border between two nations...
Thx for Generosity & Happy Canada Day {A little early, as not officially until July 1st}...
Warmest Blessings...

It is a big border, Rhi!
Thanks for stopping by.
I have been wanting to read Mounted Release and Private Release. They sound very good.
I don't know anything about the Canadian Holidays, but I will be looking them up.

No worries, Deb T. Thanks for entering and visiting! :)
I don't really know many facts about Canada, other than what I have learned from books. I did read about stores, theaters, etc that you could go from place to place all underground. I guess it was built because of the harsh winters that they have. Oh, the author who wrote the story (Lynsay Sands) is Candian, and she was the author who started my romance addiction :)
Toronto has shops underground! I've walked it many time. It does help in a cold winter and I wish my current city had that. ;)
I am embarrassed to admit that I do not know much about Canada, so I looked up my interesting fact.
In 1642, a group of religious mystics from France were inspired by a vision to build a missionary city in the Canadian wilderness. Led by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve and an Ursuline nun name Jeanne Mance, they founded Montreal.
Next I will have to look up religious mystics ;) Happy Canada Day.
Very cool, Denise and thank you for the Canada Day wishes. Listening to a bunch of fireworks at the moment. :)
