Six Sentence Sunday

Today is my release day for LAIRD'S RETURN. It seems surreal that it's finally here.

I can't believe it.

So I thought I would share six sentences from it. The set-up is Liam has been away for ten years. Everyone thought he was dead, especially the woman he loved.

“Liam?” She turned and looked at Robbie, her face wreathed in shock. When she looked at Liam again her eyes were filled with tears. “Liam?” she whispered again before suppressing a sob.
Liam stepped closer.

“No,” she shouted holding up her hands to hold him off, the cut roses falling to the floor around the hem of her dress.

Hope you enjoyed my SSS entry today.

Intriguing six, with shock, followed by tears, followed by pushing him away.

And is Robbie her current amor? That's bad timing for him. . .Well done six.

Amy Ruttan said...

Yes, Robbie is her husband and Liam's brother. ;-)

Thanks, Karysa for visiting.

I love the movement in the scene of the falling roses. It was a wonderful additional dimension to her shock!
