SPIN DEVIL

I forgot to talk about Spin Devil. So here's my big Homer Simpson expression "D'OH!"

Spin Devil by Red Garnier is the first Exotika I have ever read by Ellora's Cave and it won't be the last.

Exotika is a bit more sultrier, a bit more racier and a heck load of HOTNESS.

It's about College friends who reunite and play an adult game of truth or dare by spinning a little plush devil. Cleo the uptight of the bunch decides to take a dare from the bully of the group. A man she thought loathed her, and a man she always secretly desired. His dare ... whoa I won't say any more 'cause that would spoil it. Aren't I a stinker.

So what should you do to find out the ending and find out the toe curling dare? Go to Ellora's Cave and get yourself a copy of Spin Devil.

On my own personal writing front, I have passed 15k of Journey, I only have 10k to write to get my first prize and I aim to claim that prize by this weekend. I want to go see Shrek 3, I know, it's sad.

I've picked out where my day trip (last prize) will be. I want to go spend a day at Peelee Island (I've never been further west than Chatham) so I hope to have the first draft of Journey complete by July 16th when me and hubby have a week off.

So those are some of the short term goals I have in mind. What about you?

DESTINY BY DESIGN

I just finished reading DESTINY BY DESIGN by my friend Wylie Kinson. I am not being biased in this review.

This was amazing. Once the chillins were in bed I was able to pick up and I just couldn't put it down. Read it right through.

I love the character Ellis, she's kooky as the room whisperer, but that's what I love about Ellis. I see a bit of Wylie in there (wink wink).

Simon, well I think I could eat him with a spoon. That scene in the shower with him ... hootchimama, what I wouldn't give to be in that shower with him helping him out. Yummy, and the Naked Painting lived up to it's expectations. I was particularly fond of the closet scene too. :)

I am also a fan for good secondary characters and I have to tell you I loved Remi. He was so vivid in my mind, I got see him snapping his fingers and being such a Diva.

I loved this book. I LOVED IT, and I can't wait for your next on Ms. Kinson.

You can get DESTINY BY DESIGN at Ellora's Cave and I recommend it thoroughly.

Kudos to you Wylie and big hugs!

Masque of Desire

I bounce back quick for a ... well not a bad defeat as they want me to submit again.

I finished my last edits on MASQUE OF DESIRE tonight and I tweaked my query and synopsis (thanks again to Christine my guru) and I sent it off to EC.

So, we'll see what happens.

I was very unsure, I can tell you that. Especially in light of yesterday, but I sucked it in. MASQUE is off.

I'm tired so I won't be participating in Thursday Thirteen this week. Leave me your link in the comments though and I'll try to visit as many of you as I can. I'll be back next week, I promise.
