Just another manic Monday, ohwooh, I wish it were Sunday ohwooh, cause that's my funday, owooh, I don't have to run day ....
Ok enough with my manic Bangle singing, do you guys remember them. I loved them when I was a kid. 1985 I was ... seven. I had Venus, Bananarama blah blah and it's Monday and I was singing this song.
I made back from my hiatus, of I don't know how many weeks of not participating in Poetry Mondays. Anyways, without further ado, my poem about Monday.
Monday
A hiatus of poetry Monday,
had me thinking Rhian was gonna slug me,
I tried really hard,
I feel like a tard,
that I just sang Manic Monday.
Ya, that limerick probably blows, but give me a break, I haven't participated in a while.
Other than that, my edits for Masque of Desire are done, the blurb is done, and if y'all are interested my author bio is on the author page at Ellora's Cave. Qewl.
I totally purged my basement Saturday, so DH and I can do some renos as in building me a small office.HOORAY. I ended up feeling two garbage bags full of garbage, a bag cram full of shredding to be recycled and ten, yes that's TEN bags of old clothes, toys and knick knack (crappy wedding gifts *cough cough*) to send to the Canadian Diabetic Society to pick up. They pick up my used items, take it to Value Village and Value Village pays them money for the Diabetes Society. How cool is that? Also I found some of my old poems from my teenage years. I have to dig them out of the folder again and I'll post one next week. They're pretty morbid, as in the fact there's a limerick about a snail eating a fish, and a poem about the REAL Bert and Ernie. I was a different kind of dark in highschool. ;)
Anyways, back to the EDJ. Happy Poetry Monday everyone.

Now, I have Manic Monday in my head!!!
What's a tard? Is that some Canadian thing?
Congrats on the bio and the housecleaning/office-to-be. I bet that once you're in the space, you'll be as addicted to it as I am to mine. Of course, I'm not in the garage, though, but at the front of the house so I can moderate all the action...
"I tried really hard,
I feel like a tard"
LOL! (wiping tears away) Of course, I checked out your Bio on the EC link. Very Qewl.
A tard I think is a mid nineties thing, when I was a teen Susan. It's like a turd, maybe it is a Canadian thing.
I like that limerick! Mondays ARE maniac!
Hiya-congrats on the book! I am off to read your bio at EC *skipping away*
ROFLMAO!!!!!!
oh dang! i needed that. i'm grouchy rhi this morning and that perked me right back up. being the expert that i am on word distortions i can say with utter confidence that a "tard" is an abbreviation of "retard." duh, y'all. (oops - maybe a wee touch of snarky rhi still lingering - sorry)
this was great Amy and i love you!
and hell yeah i loved the bangles and bowwowwow and for about one minute (cough) the go-go's.
yikes - i forgot - not all about me. Congrats!!!!!!
Rhi I totally remembered last night at midnight tard is retard. That's what I call my husband all the time. I just could not remember when Susan asked me, in short I was a tard.
Loved the limerick, and it sucked!
Loved the typo that had you "feeling" two bags of garbage.
(Can you tell I'm uncaffeniated?)
Thanks for returning to the train!!!!!
Giggles, this is great!
I used to love that song.
I looked at your bio. Very cool
Love the bio! "Flesh-coloured tighty whities" should have been used in that poem somehow. ;)
Happy Poetry Monday too. I'm participating this week - after much hiding out. Let me know what you think!
