Not a real thinking Thursday Thirteen this week. A little self horn tooting, 13 things I did when I sold my first book (which was Monday!)
Happy TT everyone!
1. First I was pulling tarot cards for an online class I am taking. I pulled the same three cards three times. I asked whether I was going to ever be published, the cards said I would soon be enjoying the fruits of my labour. I opened my email!
2. Heart started beating incredibly fast when I saw my editor's email flash on the screen. I waited for Outlook to uploaded praying PLEASE DON'T BE A REJECTION.
3. Opened the email and saw "We have accepted MASQUE OF DESIRE for publication." Calmly put my computer down, jumped up and did a heel click.
4. Fell to the floor in agony as I pulled a muscle and my kids decided that was a good time to jump on mommy.
5. I limped over to phone with Sumo and Boo latched onto my legs and called my husband, who was very happy for me and supportive even though he was on site at a construction site.
6. Called my mother. The line was busy.
7. Emailed Wylie and Christine right away, to let them know.
8. Called my mother. The line was busy.
9. Got onto all my loops to make the announcement.
10. Blogged about it.
11. Called my mother who answered this time and was so happy for me.
12. Answered the two emails I got from Wylie and Christine!!!
13. Realized there was an attachment to the short email with a bunch more information. DOH, that was my goober moment. I was just so happy with the short one I didn't realize there was an official one.
So my Quickie
MASQUE OF DESIRE will be coming out in the fall (most likely). That's all the information I got right now. I am still waiting for my contract, but a colleague of mine called me a Professional writer today and I was like "What are you talking about?" I forgot, I am going to be published, I am sold. I am a professional. Happy TT everyone!

I think you can get Firefly on DVD from Amazon extremely cheap. It's an excellent series. I got my copy of Serenity from Blockbuster from their used DVD sales. I think I payed fourteen dollars. Check it out when you get the chance.
This is henceforth and forever more (at least until someone else steals the crown) AMY WEEK.
